Last post….and it will be a good one. January 5, 2007

Hey everyone…..it has been some time since I have written.  Matt and I haven’t been able to get the internet at our house without it costing $400 for hookup and $60/month after, so we have opted out for awhile until we are high rollers or something along those lines.  Hence the complete lack in blogging. 

 On another note Matt and I got engaged on Christmas Eve…..WOAH!  I know…..I wasn’t expecting it for another year or so….anyway, I am in full tilt wedding planning mode and we have set the date of February 2, 2008.  I am so excited!  I am going dress shopping next month, and am in the process of booking the reception hall and the church.  So much work to do.  I have some good help though, all of my bridesmaids have been awesome so far, and I have only been engaged a couple of weeks.  The next year should be an awesome adventure, so wish me luck. 

 This will be my last post for awhile again because I have no time to blog.  If you haven’t done so already please add me to your msn so we can keep in touch.  must_be_ashley@hotmail.com

Blog….I suck November 16, 2006

So it has been a seriously long time since I have posted and I still don’t have the time to write much.  Who would have known buying a new house would keep me so busy.  We have been hosting dinner parties, having pre bar parties, anything we can really, to show off the new place.  I still also have to take some pictures and post them.  I am hoping to do that soon, like maybe even this weekend. 

 I have also been working a lot of OT at work.  Last week I worked about 30 hours of OT, my eyes are puffy, and I cannot sleep at night.  I need this to stop, and soon.  I need a break. 

 I am getting my hair done today, and I cannot wait.  It has been so long since I have done something for myself and I think I deserve it.

 Okay, that is all for now, hopefully I can write again soon.

Weekend over….too quickly October 16, 2006

We actually had an extremely productive weekend.  We worked out at the new house all weekend and almost everything is done except for one more coat of paint on the walls in the dinning room.  We move in on Wednesday, so I will be sure to take lots of pictures once the furniture is all in place.  We have 3 bedrooms, and can only afford to furnish ours right now, so the other two will be on hold until we get a little money saved up to funish the other two.  We all have to start somewhere I guess.  When one of Matt’s cousins bought her house it was the same deal, her house was basically empty for the first couple of yrs.  I am hoping to score some good things at xmas cause I am a spoiled brat.

The amount of excitement I am feeling right now to move in to our new house is making me not be able to concentrate at work.  ahhhhh.  Okay, work time.  Bye.

Walking around in a ski boot….awesomeness October 13, 2006

I got my cast today and I am loving it.  I have not been feeling any pain and it’s great.  This is the exact one I am sporting…..ohhh yeah.

 

I worked today on my crutches and it sucked.

On my way to work this morning it was crazy slippery because of all the snow.  I saw like 5 or 6 cars get into accidents and at that point I got scared and went home until it got warm and all the ice melted into wetness.  Sometimes I wish I lived in a hot place so we didn’t have to worry about winter drinving conditions.  The first one of the year is always the worst too.  It’s like people forget how to drive.  It’s pretty silly.

I am both hungry and thirsty right now but it is 10pm and I will not let myself eat things after 7pm.  This sucks.

Now I know I actually like working. October 11, 2006

After spending these couple of days at home, I am going crazy.  I like being at work everyday.  Being on crutches and bascially having to sit in a lazy boy all day isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.  I get a walking cast tomorrow.  Yahooooo.  Then I can hobble around a bit.  Cannot wait.  Bad timing considering I need to be packing and moving for the next week.  Sucks.

Lovely Weekend October 10, 2006

Well the weekend ended up being a bit of a bust for me.  I was out at the new house painting, fell off of a ladder and tore all the ligaments in my right foot.  I am crutch bound for 5 weeks.  The doctor also told me I would have been better off breaking my foot.  The healing process is much worse for this type of injury.  Great.

 I am going to get fitted for some type of walking cast or boot tomorrow, so I can go back to work on Thursday.  I am so mad at myself.  Matt doesn’t even know this has happened yet because he is in the bush somewhere killing things.  I have been staying at my parents house and will be until tomorrow, and Matt gets back on Wednesday.  Ugh.

 I also ate far too much turkey and such on the weekend and now I need to lose 20 pounds.

Opening Moose Season….woot October 6, 2006

Okay.  Saturday, tomorrow I guess is my birthday.  I get the ditch for moose season, which open tomorrow.  Luckily I am used to this because my Dad is also a hunter.  I got the ditch every year since I was little.  This year it also kind of sucks because I don’t any presents from Matt because we just bought our house and are broke.  It’s okay though, I actually don’t mind.  It’s nice to be able to buy a nice house and get moved in there.  Just bad timing on my part I suppose. 

 I really want to do some before and after shots of the new house.  I want to get the furniture in first so I can show everyone how awesome the house looks now.  We are so excited to be moving in there.  It is pretty unreal.  We walked the 10 acres of property we have and it’s a lot.  We’re going to make some cross country ski trails for the winter. 

I have to do some work.  Hopefully I can get some picture posted soon.
